Mitchell's Fish Market To Make Florida Debut In Tampa

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, LLC is set to make its Florida debut with a new Mitchell's Fish Market location, scheduled to open in February 2006, in Tampa. The 7,900 square-foot seafood restaurant will be a part of WestShore Plaza, one of Tampa's premier shopping centers, which is located at the intersection of WestShore and Kennedy Boulevards.

Mitchell's Fish Market is obsessed with freshness. In fact, the concept of "absolute freshness" is so paramount that all of the seafood is flown in daily from the coasts and is displayed at the entrance to the open kitchen. The seafood selected is "top of the trip" only, that is the fish on the top or the last caught.

The menu is printed twice daily and includes over 80 chef-driven menu items such as Cedar Roasted Atlantic Salmon; Hot and Sour Glazed Swordfish; Hoisin Glazed Yellow Fin Tuna and Chilean Sea Bass, served Shang Hai style (steamed with ginger and scallions served with sticky rice, spinach & rice wine soy sauce.) The restaurant also offers true seafood classics, such as award-winning Lobster Bisque, Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes, and many other selections to appeal to a wide spectrum of coastal diners. Land lovers will find plenty of delicious menu offerings including Filet Mignon, New York Strip and Balsamic Chicken.

With more than 250 seats inside, the restaurant will feature an ocean liner feel with deep red mahogany woods, leather upholstery and handcrafted details. Lively sounds from the restaurant's piano bar will provide just the right combination of background music.

Private dining is available for up to 12 guests in the Ocean Liner Lounge. Guests wishing to enjoy their meal al fresco will want to take advantage of the outdoor patio, which seats 56. Mitchell's Fish Market also will feature a retail seafood menu where guests can purchase fresh fish and seafood to go. The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
