Lenox, MA; August 5, 2003  The team behind the internationally-acclaimed Nantucket Wine Festival brings their magic to Tanglewood for the first time ever this summer. Destined to become an annual tradition, the Tanglewood Wine & Food Classic brings the best of wine, food and music to the Berkshires. The same day at Tanglewood in a separate event in the evening, Itzhak Perlman will perform with Sir Neville Mariner and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

Wine tastings from over 100 vintners, including Domain Chandon, Mondavi, Arrowood, Cain, Azienda Agraria San Lorenzo, Pommery, Vidal Fleury, Georg DuBoeuf, Chateau Ste. Michelle, David Bruce, Jean-Luc Colombo, Pierre Ferrand and Steele.

Sample the best the food world has to offer from artisan specialists including Great Cheeses of New England, iGourmet, Creative Gourmet, Sheila Marie Imports, Berkshire Mountain Bakery, DArtagnan and Hogue Farms.

Watch celebrity chefs from renowned restaurants including Wheatleigh, Company of the Cauldron, Blantyre, Fleur de Sel, Les Zygomates, Mantra and Creative Gourmet demonstrate their skills during 45-minute cooking demonstrations throughout the day on one of the Viking Kitchen locations.
