November 19th, 2007, Napa, CA -- The Napa Valley Unity League and Michael Holmes are pleased to announce the reunification of the Napa Valley Academy Awards (R) Gala Black Tie and Black T-Shirt Parties on Sunday, February 24th 2008 from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. hosted by Sterling Vineyards (R) , located at 1111 Dunaweal Lane, in Calistoga, Napa Valley. The 2008 combined event will benefit the Care Network at the Queen of the Valley Hospital's AIDS Outreach and Prevention Programs.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of this annual Napa Valley fundraising event for AIDS Outreach and Prevention and the 80th Anniversary of the official Academy Awards Celebrations. Sterling Vineyards has graciously stepped up as the lead corporate & "hosting" sponsor for the combined 2008 Gala Black Tie and Black T-shirt Parties. WTN Services and Ambrosiawine.com have joined the cause as the Red Carpet level sponsors. Co-Chairs Michael Holmes and Chris Edwards will lead this year's event, featuring live entertainment, the awards on the Big Screen, Black Tie Dinner, Black T-shirt Dance with DJ Rotten Robbie, fantastic Napa Valley restaurants & wineries and more. The exciting silent auction, raffle and balloon prize items will be open to all attendees, with both Black Tie and Black T-Shirt guests mingling at the bidding tables for the good of the cause.

What began as a small, private Oscar Night party twenty years ago as a few friends with a heart, some great food, lots of Napa Valley Wines, has evolved into a Napa Valley tradition with plenty of Oscar Night glamour. Today, this event is the largest single night fundraising event in the Napa Valley dedicated to HIV/AIDS services through the Queen of the Valley Hospitals' Care Network. Through the generosity of individual underwriters, gala ticket buyers, black T-Shirt ticket buyers, volunteers, and corporate donors, the vital work of the Care Network at the Queen of the Valley in providing critical services to those living with HIV and AIDS continues.

Pre-sale discount tickets are available now through Jan 15th at a discounted rate for the general public and go on sale at full price on Jan 16th until sold out. Discount tickets are also available for Sterling Vineyards Club Members until January 30th. This year's event has limited accommodations so buy your tickets early to ensure a seat at Napa Valley's Premier Academy Awards Night event.
