New: Cherrystones Clam & Lobster Shack

Cherrystones Clam & Lobster Shack has opened in East Hampton at the former Snowflake. Kevin Boles and Chris Eggert who also own Bostwicks in East Hampton and Indian Wells Tavern in Amagansett, opened Cherrystones in May 2008. Cherrystones provides a laid-back atmosphere serving casual seafood in a light, airy, and properly decked out location. The space offers outdoor dining with a beach theme, including beach sand, beach grass, tiki umbrellas and surfboards.

The menu at Cherrystones goes along with the laid back atmosphere, where patrons pick up a menu check off what they want and bring it the counter and the food is then brought to the table. Cherrystones menu includes an array of seafood, sandwiches, and salads, all served on paper and plastic plates. Raw bar items range from $6 - $13 and are shucked to order with cocktail sauce and lemon including: Cherrystones clams on the � shell; littleneck clams on the � shell; and oysters on the � shell. Appetizers range from $5 - $10 and include: shrimp cocktail; mussels with wine and garlic; buffalo popcorn chicken with blue cheese; New England clam chowder; and lobster bisque. Mixed green salads are also available and range from $6 - $16 and include your choice of dressing and can be topped with grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, crabcake, and lobster salad. Sandwiches and rolls range from $7.50 - $11 and include: lobster roll; clam strip roll; fried flounder sandwich; hamburger; cheeseburger; grilled chicken breast sandwich; and Sabrett hot dog. Seafood boats range from $12 - $18 and are served with French fries. Menu items include: fried whole clam bellies; fried oysters; fried clam strips; crabcakes; and fish & chips. Steamed lobster is also available for 1lb, 1 � lb; and 2 lb. Sides range from $1 - $5 and include: potato chips; French fries; cole slaw; corn on the cob; and vegetable. There are also daily specials that are available. Don't forget about dessert, which includes soft serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream in a cup with your choice of eight toppings.

Cherrystones is open Wednesday - Monday from 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.; closed on Tuesday.
