New Cookbook For Children Will Help Turn Your Baby Into A Vege-loving Baby

"Mom, what's for dinner?" This simple question is the bane of motherhood. Right from the start most moms worry about what to feed their child. Breast milk or formula, rice or mixed grain cereal, fruits or vegetables first? When should you introduce foods, how should they be introduced, and what can parents do to ensure lifelong healthy eating habits?

Enter Vegebaby: Recipes for happy healthy children, by Pragna Parmita. The first book of its kind to marry a vegetarian diet for children with health and nutrition, Vegebaby is a complete resource guide for new and health conscious parents. The cookbook adheres to the vegetarian food pyramid's basic principles while showcasing foods that provide an array of valuable nutrients. Developed with a nutritionist, each recipe includes a list of nutrients and describes the physical benefits associated with each recipe.

Vegebaby offers parents:
- Health and nutritional information for foods from avocados to zucchini
- Options for meatless meals and vegetarian lifestyles
- Do's and don'ts for introducing foods to your baby
- Guidelines for including key vitamins, vegetarian protein, healthy fats and minerals in your child's diet
- Foods that heal and prevent common ailments such as sleeping issues, constipation, breathing problems and gastrointestinal ailments
- Mind, body and food connections for lifelong health

"The best way to stop the epidemic of childhood obesity, diabetes and poor eating habits is to recognize its source," says Parmita. "Understanding the interaction between mind, body and food is the first step. Helping a child learn healthy eating habits is the gift of life - for life."

Pragna Parmita has a double degree in Accounting and Law but her work experience has been in the world of fashion. In 2009 she won the Dallas Earth day contest by designing a garment made exclusively from organic and recycled materials. She is also the mother of two young boys and is passionate about food and healthy eating habits. She is currently working on an organic line of clothing for Vegebaby and is pursuing her Master's degree in Fashion Design.
