New Date Pattern Announced For 2011 Food Safety Summit- Summit To Be Held April 19-21 At The Walter E Washington Convention Center In Washington, D C

The 13th Annual Food Safety Summit will offer an outstanding educational program that is timely, solutions focused and provides actionable "take aways" from each session. The Summit will lead off with ServSafe Training and Certification program on Monday, April 18, 2011. This comprehensive day and a half session will focus on the critical importance and role of food safety in an organization. The conference program will begin on Tuesday, April 19th with half day workshops followed by an opening night reception on the Expo Floor from 5-8 pm.

"We have put together a dynamic program for the 2011 event and by listening to our attendees, conference speakers and exhibitors have made some scheduling changes to the Summit," said Emily Patten, Director of Tradeshows and Conferences for BNP Media, producers of the event. "The most significant change is the hours the Expo floor will be open, which will be Tuesday evening for a reception from 5-8 pm and then on Wednesday from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm. This will give our attendees dedicated time to spend with the vendors, while not competing with the conference sessions."

Keeping up the momentum the Summit will continue to offer four half day workshops focusing on skills required to succeed. The workshops will focus on training for behavioral modification, effectively communicating with others in the company, the three pillars of a successful food liability program and conducting challenge studies.

Sessions throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday will focus on the most important issues facing food service and food safety professionals on a daily basis. Topics such as traceability, media training, emerging and regulatory issues, allergens, food defense, sanitation, sampling, pest control and much more will be addressed. There will be a keynote speaker on Wednesday morning as well as the Food Quality Awards Presentation sponsored by DuPont. The conference sessions will end Thursday at noon followed by a "Lunch on the Go," where attendees can grab lunch and head back to their offices or to the airport.
