About the Author
Alan Philips (New York) is a hospitality entrepreneur, marketing expert, and the founder of the Guerrilla Culinary Brigade. Philips first job in the hospitality world was a coveted culinary stage with celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck at the original Spago Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard. In 2001 he launched his own hospitality marketing and consulting firm. He consults on projects for hotels, casinos, restaurants, celebrity chefs, nightclubs, caterers, and mobile food operations both nationally and internationally.
Most recently, Philips has been lauded for bringing "pop up" restaurants to New York with The Feast and The Hunger, as well as his underground wine society, The Thirst. He has executed seven "pop up" restaurants in Manhattan with partners such as Seamus Mullen, Todd English, the world- famous Le Cirque Restaurant, Grey Goose, Urban Daddy, Gilt Group, Grand Hospitality, and Frederick Wildman Wines. In 2011 Alan launched two restaurants, CO-OP Food & Drink and Viktor & Spoils.
