A New Modern Tavern Arrives In Lower Manhattan Blt Restaurant Group Opens Blt Bar & Grill At W New York - Downtown
Today, BLT Restaurant Group opens BLT Bar & Grill, a modern tavern at the W New York - Downtown. This is an exciting new concept from the nationally acclaimed restaurant group. The expertly executed yet casual menu created by Corporate Executive Chef Christophe Bellanca and prepared by Executive Chef David Craine features modern versions of classic American bar food with a wide selection of cocktails, beer and wine. In celebration of opening, BLT Bar & Grill is offering 10% off of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner, from now until Labor Day.
BLT Bar & Grill features affordable fare ideal for everyday dining without departing from BLT's signature style and service, making it a stylish option for the downtown neighborhood. Given the renewed business growth in the Financial District, BLT Bar & Grill opens to a blossoming neighborhood as a great option for drinks, a light bite or a meal.

The new W New York - Downtown is the first hotel property to usher in the rebirth of the Ground Zero neighborhood. The two-floor BLT Bar & Grill will help reclaim the downtown dining scene, giving local residents and travelers alike another reason to stay in Lower Manhattan. The restaurant will also cater to the Residences at the W New York - Downtown for "in-residence" dining and private events.
On the street level, tempting snacks are created in plain view at the large freestanding zinc-topped bar. In addition to the 23 coveted seats at the bar, this bustling first floor will accommodate an additional 53 guests indoors and 30 on the outdoor patio. The second floor seats 95 and features a private dining room for 20, the perfect place for casual yet festive gatherings. The full menu is available on both floors.
THE MENU
Bellanca's menu demonstrates his attention to detail and precision which in turn, creates beautiful, simple dishes. Bellanca translates his three-star experience at Le Cirque and L'Orangerie to creating accessible, flavorful New American classics. These traits have become synonymous with the cuisine of BLT Restaurants.
In the morning, downtown dwellers and hotel guests can enjoy a variety of breakfast dishes such as Brioche French Toast with cinnamon-caramelized apples or the "Downtown" Burrito with cheddar scrambled eggs, peppers and onion-tomato salsa. In the afternoon, an extensive sandwich selection includes an Eggplant & Taleggio Panini with caper aioli and the Cuban Sandwich pressed with pork belly and speck.
Notable dinner entrees include Spiced Rotisserie Chicken with cabernet honey and chicken jus, Fish & Chips with zesty tartar sauce and Filet Mignon, Bone-In Ribeye and NY Strip steaks. The menu also features Daily Specials such as Monday's Curried Mussels with white wine, parsley, curry broth and French fries. For something sweet, guests can enjoy Key Lime Pavlova with market fruit, or Chocolate Layer Cake with vanilla ice cream.
With House Cocktails such as the Guava Sling with Sauza Blanco tequila, pureed pink guava and Lillet Blanc, Classic Cocktails like the Negroni, and a beer list with nods to local favorites such as Bluepoint Toasted Lager and Sixpoint Belgian IPA, BLT Bar & Grill gives Lower Manhattan a new after work destination for drinks. BLT Bar & Grill also offers a varied wine list, featuring bottles from growing regions all over the world.
