NEW 13-PART TELEVISION SERIES, KIDS ON THE FARM, TO FEATURE TOP CHEFS, LOCAL FARMERS, AND KIDS

Production begins on educational and outreach series to teach kids about food, taste, nutrition, farming and healthy living

WASHINGTON DC, August 1, 2006 - KIDS ON THE FARM, a new 13-part series featuring the nation's best chefs, local farmers, and kids, has commenced production in California, Washington D.C., New Orleans, Mexico, and other locations across the globe.

From the producers of the James Beard Award-winning and critically acclaimed series CHEFS A'FIELD comes KIDS ON THE FARM, an educational and outreach series focusing on how children learn about food and how it tastes. The series is scheduled to debut on public television stations nationwide in Winter/Spring 2007.

An exclusive advance screening of the series will be presented at Walt Disney World's 2006 Epcot Center Food & Wine Festival in Orlando, Florida running September 29 - November 14. A special premier event will take place on October 14th at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival's main stage.

KIDS ON THE FARM integrates culinary lessons with a trip to the farm. The cameras follow along as children venture out into the strawberry fields, walnut groves, avocado groves, rivers and bays to find out for themselves what tastes good, how good food is grown, and how to prepare a meal. In each half-hour program, the chefs, local farmers, teachers and parents present real-life stories of healthy eating and exploration. This innovative educational series offers families a new look at food, farmers, and the American table.

Each episode of KIDS ON THE FARM will focus on a relationship between a chef, farmer and child-the chef's own child, a neighbor, or an adopted classroom. Each child gets a personal tour into the world of food. On farms, ranches, and fishing boats across the country, the children explore where food comes from, while teaching viewers of all ages a new respect for food, farms, and community.

The series is tied to an extensive educational outreach component in schools and on the web, including lesson plans, classroom materials, a robust website with teaching and learning materials, video clips, high-speed internet content, and a companion cookbook as well as local events in select markets featuring chefs, kids, and farmers, and a line of kids' kitchen clothing from Chefwear, Inc.

The series will features some of the top names in food and dining today, including Michael Mina - Michael Mina Restaurants (San Francisco / Las Vegas), Robert Wiedmaier - Marcels (Washington DC), Richard Sandoval - Zengo / Maya/ Pompano (New York,
