Noted Chef Duo Rachel Yang And Seif Chirchi To Open Second Restaurant And Bar In December
In November of 2007, the award-winning husband and wife cooking team of Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi opened their Seattle restaurant Joule, which was quickly embraced by a loyal dining fan base and admiring local and national media. In its first two years Joule's chef/owners received stellar critical recognition including a 3-star review from the Seattle Times, Best Restaurant accolades from Seattle Magazine and a tough televised competition in Kitchen Stadium against Iron Chef Jose Garces on the Food Network's Iron Chef America.
In mid-December 2010, Yang and Chirchi, along with partners Chad Dale, Bryce Philips (founder of ski and snowboard retailer, EVO), and Ira Gerlich (all part owners of the newly developed Kolstrand Building) will open Revel and adjacent bar, Quoin, in Seattle's hip and eclectic Fremont neighborhood. Beginning January 8th, 2100, Revel will serve Saturday and Sunday brunch. Revel's adjacent libation destination, Quoin, will be open daily from 4pm-12 am. Beer will be on tap and in the bottle, alongside assorted wines and spirits, including house-infused Soju ( a distilled beverage native to Korea, comparable to vodka) cocktails.
Flavors at Revel will focus on Asian street food like Pancakes, Dumplings, Rice and Noodles with a non-traditional twist. Look for well-priced dishes ranging in price from $8-$15. An edited selection of Salads and Desserts will provide options to accompany main dishes.

Yang, educated at the Institute for Culinary Education in New York, held impressive posts at respected Manhattan establishments including: Per Se, DB Bistro Moderne and Alain Ducasse at the Essex House, where she met Chirchi. In 2006, Yang and Chirchi moved to Seattle from New York City and served as chefs at Coupage restaurant in Seattle's Madrona neighborhood.

Revel is located in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood and is owned by Rachel Yang, Seif Chirchi , Chad Dale, Bryce Philips, Ira Gerlich. Revel, with seating for 45, is open for lunch 11:00am -2:00 pm Monday-Friday, dinner 5-10pm Sunday- Thursday and 5-11 pm, Friday and Saturday. Beginning January 8th, Revel will serve brunch from 10 -2pm Saturday and Sunday. Weather permitting, Revel offers deck seating for 20 and Quoin has outdoor seating for 15.
