Those who are looking for something straight up can go for some Ole Smoky Apple Pie MoonshineTM. It's Americana in a jar, or in this case a cup, and will be served for $7. Fans looking for a more authentic experience can upgrade any of Ole Smoky's offerings to a souvenir mason jar - priced at $10 for the jar and the moonshine cocktail.
Ole Smoky, Tennessee's first legal moonshine, is a local owned family business that prides itself on their craft distilling process and a recipe that dates back over a century. Ole Smoky now distributes to 40 states and can be found in national retail stores such as Sam's Club and Walmart, a number of NASCAR speedways throughout the country and local liquor stores everywhere. The families behind Ole Smoky were growing corn and making whiskey in Tennessee before it was even a state, and after centuries of hiding from the law, they are finally able to legally, and proudly, share their line of authentic moonshine whiskey products with the public at large.
Ole Smoky Moonshine is fast becoming a recognized competitor among consumers of premium spirit brands, and has been profiled on The Today Show, CNN, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, Wall Street Journal, among others. This month, the brand kicked off its first national advertising television campaign on Discovery Channel. Commercials can be seen during programming, "American Chopper" and "Moonshiners".
About Ole Smoky Moonshine
When the state of Tennessee changed its laws, allowing the licensed production of whiskey and other spirits across new counties, a group of local families saw an opportunity to showcase the art of superior, mountain-made moonshine. Ole Smoky Moonshine is a line of authentic products, packaged in traditional 750 ml mason jars, made from family recipes passed down through generations by inhabitants of the Great Smoky Mountains region of Appalachia. Flagship products include Ole Smoky's Original Moonshine (100 proof "sippin' moonshine"), White Lightnin' (100 proof "mixin' moonshine"), Moonshine Cherries (fresh maraschino cherries soaked in 100 proof White Lightin') and Apple Pie Moonshine (40 proof Americana in a jar). Delicious flavors like Ole Smoky's Peach Moonshine and Blackberry Moonshine are now available in select markets. Ole Smoky Distillery is headquartered in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
