Oregon's The Allison Inn & Spa- #1 Hotel Spa
The Allison Inn & Spa, a 35-acre destination resort and spa, in Oregon's Willamette Valley wine country celebrates newly announced honors from one of America's most read travel magazines, Travel + Leisure. The #1 Hotel Spa and #12 Resort in the Continental U.S. are distinctions rarely achieved by such a young property. The awards, to be given out Thursday July 19, 2012 in New York City, will be part of the August 2012 World's Best Awards issue.
A leading consumer travel magazine, Travel + Leisure, utilized a methodology for its World's Best Awards by inviting readers to respond to questionnaires and vote for properties and experiences they have had first-hand. These surveys were conducted through Travel + Leisure magazine, T+L iPad editions, newsletters, and online at TravelandLeisure.com.
The Allison became a LEED Gold certified hotel in 2010 and has been recognized for its timeless and modern architectural design with generous use of wood, copper accents, glass, steel and stone. Its interior is warm and intimate with elegant contemporary furnishings, hand-crafted Oregon wood accents and original artwork from Oregon artists. Outstanding features include its dramatic glass-enclosed circular staircase connecting all four levels of the guest wing, use of waterfalls and water treatments that invite guests into the property's distinctive hotel and spa entrance.
The Allison Spa:
The Allison Spa with a dedicated entrance of wood, stone and cascading water is nearly 15,000 sq. ft. featuring 12 treatment rooms and 4 distinctive spa lounges including a private suite for small gatherings. The destination spa also attracts business from Portland and surrounding areas, which allows guests to enjoy spa services in a beautiful wine country setting. It has been acknowledged for its treatment menu and dedication to wellness. Highly trained estheticians provide expert service that offers an indulgent experience to guests. The spa uses organic products and is uniquely known for their Pinotherapy treatment, which is a pinot-inspired botanical and biological therapy produced by wine and grape seed extracts derived from the property's vineyard. Recently, a spa dining menu was created by the resort's Executive Chef Sunny Jin for guests to enjoy while lounging before or after treatments. The Allison Spa provides a relaxing and luxurious escape and offers breathtaking outdoor, landscaped garden terraces with fire pits or fireplaces in all four lounges: the men's, women's co-ed, and small groups.
Pierre Zreik, Managing Director, expresses his joy and passion for the team's efforts when commenting on the hotel's recent recognition, "On behalf of Joan Austin, owner, and Tara Carlton, Spa Director, we are all proud of these distinguished honors from the readers of 2012 Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards. Our team here at The Allison is dedicated to providing the very best guest experience in the Oregon Wine Country."
Zreik adds, "Great service is at the core of all The Allison's signature experiences. Our team, almost all from Oregon, offers warm and welcoming hospitality. We are an independent property and adhere to the highest standards in hospitality and management training."
