Pairsine New York 2012 Chef Winners Announced!

April 20,2012, Wine Country Network, Inc, publishers of Wine Country International Magazine and producers of the Pairsine Chefs Food & Wine Competitions today announced the winning chefs from Pairsine NYC Chefs Food & Wine Competition which was held on Tuesday April 17, 2012 at Sun West Studios in New York City.

The following chefs have been named as winners:

People's Choice 2012:
Jason Zukas: Tazzina, Queens, NY

Judges Best Chef 2012:
Eric B LeVine: Chef/Partner-Morris Tap & Grill, NJ

Judges Most Creative Chef 2012:
Michael Giletto: Executive Chef-Ocean Place Resort & Spa, NJ/Gourmet
Butterfly Events NYC.

Judges Honorary Mention 2012:
Jason Zukas: Tazzina, Queens, NY

Nine New York area master chefs competed making 2 culinary pairings each ( 18 total) with Zinfandel wines that were provided by 26 California wineries which were members of ZAP (The Zinfandel Advocates & Producers). More than 60 Zins were presented in total. Guests had a rare chance to meet "the stars" of Zinfandel with many winemakers personally pouring.


The prestigious panel of judges included:

- Arthur Scwartz: Radio Personality and Book Author

- Geoffrey Weill: President of Geoffrey Weill Associates, a leading tourism
and travel public relations company

- Monika Elling: CEO, Foundations Marketing Group; Wine PR & Marketing Expert

- Lisa Carley: Wine & Food Columnist

- Tony Lawrence: Creator/Owner Global Wine Chef

A portion of ticket proceeds and 100% of all auction proceeds benefited the Foundation For Sight & Sound.
