Park Ave. Official Grand Opening Reveals New Jewel In Orange County Dining Scene
Park Ave., the newest entry on the Orange County dining scene, announced its official grand opening today. Helmed by acclaimed executive chef David Slay, Park Ave. serves creative interpretations of classic American cuisine to locals, serious food lovers and tourists alike in a distinctive setting that exudes retro-chic ambience.
Located at 11200 Beach Boulevard in the city of Stanton on the site of the former Highway 39 Chicken Pie Shop and Ronnenberg Family Dairy, Park Ave. blends the best of mid-century and modern California for a truly unique dining experience. The restaurant's combination of swanky old-Hollywood dicor and innovative dishes prepared by one of the country's best chefs transforms dining out into the special occasion it used to be.
The veteran chef of several top Los Angeles restaurants, David Slay earned the "Best of the Best" accolade from The Finest Dining Awards and enjoys a well-earned reputation as one of the most creative and professional chefs in the world of food and entertaining. A self-trained chef who served as an apprentice in restaurants in Paris and Versailles, Slay rose to national prominence in the U.S. as the spirit of La Veranda, the acclaimed California/Continental bistro he founded in Beverly Hills. Slay joins Park Ave. after successful sojourns in the private catering and packaged food businesses.
"In designing the menu for Park Ave., my goal is to use the freshest ingredients to create familiar-yet-new dishes that provide pleasurable, unexpected taste experiences," said David Slay. "Menu items such as Horseradish Hanger Steak, Scallop-Stuffed Mushrooms, Peanut-Butter-and-Banana French Toast and house-made sodas indulge our guests' desires for old-fashioned food-the kind that tastes good-and jive with the hip, funky personality of Park Ave.'s mid-century modern atmosphere."
Park Ave.'s guests dine in the glow of reproduction Danish-modern chandeliers in comfortable chairs outfitted in a space-age, geometric-print fabric or get cozy in a circular booth tucked into a full-wall stone fireplace for the best view in the house. Bar patrons lounge on berry-colored stools, rest their custom cocktails on glitter-flecked occasional tables, and take in old movies, from "Casablanca" to "Sabrina," on the flat-screen TV.
"We're so proud to be bringing this kind of comprehensive restaurant concept to Orange County," said Slay. "Southern Californians can drive all the way to the Sunset Strip or to Las Vegas if they really want to, but they no longer need to with Park Ave.'s level of cuisine, ambience and service right in their own backyard."
Park Ave. serves lunch, dinner, dessert, cocktails and weekend breakfast. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating and can accommodate large parties in its garden-side dining room or in its very own park beautifully landscaped with lemon, olive and avocado trees. Reservations are accepted, walk-ins are welcome, take-out service is available, and the ability to "leave your cares behind and simply dine" is a must for every guest who walks through Park Ave.'s front door.
