Petrossian Paris Opens Remodel For 20th Anniversary In West Hollywood

International Boutique Presents Fine Foods and Casual Dining as Affordable Indulgence

- The Petrossian Family, owner of Petrossian Paris, the international brand synonymous with the world's finest collection of caviar products, has opened the remodeled West Hollywood location to celebrate their 20 year anniversary on the west coast. The retail boutique and caf space centrally located on the Avenues of Art & Design on Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood has completed a major renovation resulting in a casual environment and expanded space conducive to shopping of fine foods, gifts and gatherings for casual, reasonably priced, elegant dining.

For nearly 80 years, Petrossian Paris has been recognized as the foremost purveyor of fine caviar from all over the world. Today Petrossian has introduced a variety of products - including its superior selection of farmed and sustainable caviar - to its customers, offering products that fit every gourmet's budget for fine foods.
Mr. Petrossian is convinced that caviar has a place in today's unpredictable consumer market. "Over 85% of the caviar sold in the United States is California raised in eco-friendly and sustainable environments," says Petrossian. "Here's a small indulgence that no longer requires splurging since American caviar is now affordable and a way to support the California economy. And, in our time of uncertainty, we all need a moment of pure pleasure - what can bring one more satisfaction than a taste of caviar?"

Los Angeles designer David Davis of Studio Davis has greatly enlarged the interior space to provide separate entrances and dedicated space for the caf and the adjacent retail boutique. Davis draws on a palette of grey cerulean blue used from the time of Louis XV and Madame Pompadour for the exterior to match the Petrossian shops in Europe and Manhattan, and prominently highlights the Robertson Avenue presence with the vivid red lettering of the Petrossian marquee on the facade. Deep blue-grey Galucha, a synthetic stingray skin with pebbled surface reminiscent of caviar pearls, brings texture to the interior. The dining room is dressed with casual table settings and large-scale artwork from the nearby Walter Findlay Gallery and presents an ambiance for informal, yet quality dining.

The boutique features an open kitchen and communal "Tasting Tables" where customers may drop in for a quick meal. This room is flooded with natural light from its floor to ceiling windows overlooking the colorful street scene on Robertson. The extraordinary 15 foot high ceilings are accented by exposed turn-of-the-century Paris steel trusses. On the street side of the boutique, outdoor seating is framed by a lush landscape of topiary, iceberg roses, kangaroo paws and gardenia, sheltering guests from foot traffic.

A handsome array of Petrossian packaged goods, including signature smoked salmon, a variety of smoked seafood, fine chocolates, mustards, olive oils, specialty vinegars and fruit preserves, are beautifully displayed in the boutique along with the comprehensive collection of Petrossian caviar. All products can be custom selected for gift packages and home deliveries.

Mr. Petrossian and the chef have designed a wide selection of new ideas for all-day service with several dishes showcasing the Petrossian caviar collection, available in both the caf and boutique. The price of dishes range from $9 to $28 with caviar dishes starting at $24.

Petrossian Paris Boutique and Caf is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Petrossian Paris was founded by Armenian brothers Melkoum and Mouchegh Petrossian. The fine foods import company first introduced caviar to Paris, and the world, in the early 1920's. Today
