The Pitch & Fork Opens Tonight - Bringing American Rustic Classics Uptown

Tonight - restaurateur Jacques Ouari brings another wonderful addition to the city's food & drink scene with his newest venture - an elevated version of a new American Tavern - The Pitch & Fork. Marrying the successes of his previous endeavors, Jacques Brasserie, Nolita's Jacques and its underground cocktail haven 1534, The Pitch & Fork is Ouari's most well rounded venture yet with something on the menu for everyone. His mission is to present New Yorkers and Uptown locals alike with an authentic neighborhood watering hole, serving undeniably appealing New American fare alongside a vast specialty beer, wine and cocktail selection.

The Pitch & Fork's approach is simple: to offer a great culinary experience, straightforward yet delicious dishes & drinks in a relaxed atmosphere that will appeal to young professionals, long-standing Upper East Side residents as well as draw in the city's ever-growing foodie crowd. While many quality eateries rely on a preconceived theme, The Pitch & Fork stands out as the everyman's tavern - a place for foodies and imbibers of all stripes- a neighborhood destination for everyman.

The food at The Pitch & Fork is based on American Classics, revisited with a very subtle French twist. The tempting menu, executed daily by The Pitch & Fork's Chef Adriano Rodriguez (previously of Jacques Brassiere and L' Absinthe) was designed to please and comfort all palates from meat centric eaters to pickier diners. Dishes range from shareable plates to entrees and include a vast selection of homemade charcuterie offerings and a selection of large-format grand course items that are intended for feasting. There will also be a late night menu available everyday from 11:00 pm-1:00 am..Bound-to-be hit dishes include:

The smart & seasonal drink program at The Pitch & Fork will focus on producing high quality drinks (similar to those offerings to Ouari's cocktail sanctuary 1534) and serving stellar craft beer & boutique wine selections. The drink menu strives to create an unforgettable experience rather than leaning on a trend or gimmick to create a passing fancy.

Much like stepping into an old-fashioned tavern, the feel and d�cor at The Pitch & Fork is comfortable, inviting and has a dimly light glow throughout. The space has been outfitted with a dark mahogany saloon-styled bar and the open main space is accented with dark wood tones complimented by a subtle gold hue. Traditional black vinyl banquettes round out the room. Although there is plenty of space up front, The Pitch & Fork also features a large covered garden in the back perfect for intimate mingling year round. And to top it off, there is sidewalk seating as well offering even another option for relaxing with friends over food and drink.
