Pluckemin Inn Hosts James Beard Dinner, Sunday, March 8th
Pluckemin Inn Invites You to the "Friends of James Beard Chef's Invitational".
Bedminster, NJ- The food lover's event of the season featuring renowned chefs from across the Northeast, takes place at the Pluckemin Inn on Sunday, March 8th at 5:00 p.m. Chef David C. Felton and Pastry Chef Joseph Gabriel of the Pluckemin Inn have called upon their friends and contemporaries for this one of a kind culinary event. Each of the seven chefs will prepare an individual course allowing diners to explore regional cuisine from across the country as well as get a taste of what makes these chefs some of the best in the business, all in support of the James Beard Foundation (JBF).
Benefiting the James Beard Foundation and it's scholarship program, the seven course dinner will feature the culinary talents of Pluckemin Chefs Felton and Gabriel, as well as:

Pluckemin Inn Executive Chef David C. Felton leads the reception with a menu that includes herbed Spring pea fritters with malt vinegar mayonnaise, as well as foie gras and chicken livers with smoked brioche.
Diners will then have a rare opportunity to savour a course prepared by Jason Cichonski (Le Croix), Hamachi with chicken skin, artichoke & buttermilk. Steven Cameron (Noble American Cookery), will dazzle with the next course, a pumpernickel~crusted Alaskan sablefish with nettle puree, mussels "chowder and marinade".
Scott Anderson (Elements), takes his turn with the sublime presentation of foie gras "sous vide", with lychee, cashew and butterscotch. In a final act of epicurean delectation, David C. Felton (Pluckemin Inn), presents Axis Venison with Winter truffle, black trumpet and marmalade.
Next, savor a gateau of Sicilian pistachio and goat cheese with honey & kataifi from Joseph Gabriel (Pluckemin Inn). Rounding out the meal, artisans Michael Gabriel (The Seagrill, Cucina & Company) and Chris Broberg (BR Guest) tantalize with dessert. Respectively presenting a mango lemongrass aspic with Valrhona Ivoire cream and a chocolate "coffeecake", with white coffee ice cream and chocolate sorbet.
These stellar chefs have their dishes carefully paired with wines by Pluckemin Inn Wine Director and Sommelier, Brian Hider.
The James Beard Foundation is North America's premier organization for the education and preservation of our culinary heritage. They host events by culinary artists from around the world almost every night of the year. Funds raised through this event support culinary education through scholarships, nutrition programs in elementary schools and JBF's kitchen volunteer program that gives aspiring chefs an opportunity to assist a master. The James Beard House in New York City is also a benefactor.
Seven of the most prestigious Chefs in the Northeast, demonstrating their talent in a once-in-a-lifetime collaborative dinner. This promises to be an evening of exquisite cuisine and the company of true artisans.
A limited number of seats are available for this gala event. Tickets are $130 for JBF members and $150 for Non JBF members. Price includes wine pairings, taxes and gratuity.
