Ps 7's Restaurant Appoints Curtis Allred As General Manager
There's a new face in the dining room at PS 7's as Curtis Allred takes the lead as the restaurant's new General Manager. Allred, a wine aficionado at heart, brings enthusiasm and experience to this eclectic, dining hot spot.
"My number one priority is establishing a relationship with each of our guests. In order to achieve that, every last detail has to be accounted for to ensure that each person is comfortable and having a great meal," Allred explained. During his three-year tenure at Isabella's, a BR Guest Restaurant in New York City, Curtis learned the significance of "giving the guest more than they pay for." This motto was greatly supported by his efforts to form strong bonds between the entire restaurant team. With his attention to detail and focus on teamwork, Allred will enhance each guest's experience at PS 7's.
Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Allred moved around during his childhood before settling into Roanoke, Virginia. He took his first job in the restaurant scene at Macado's, a small family restaurant in Roanoke, as a means of paying for his college tuition. The addictive energy of the fast-paced dining room motivated him to pick up shifts in the kitchen and eventually he worked his way into the role of General Manager. After Macado's, Allred moved to New York City to join the management team of Isabella's, where he honed his skills in managing the restaurant and representing the BR Guest brand. After three years, Allred moved to Washington, DC, excited about the opportunity to be a part of the rapidly evolving restaurant market as a Manager of The Capital Grille.
PS 7's represents a level of unbound creativity that Curtis has always desired in his work. "Peter Smith is a brilliant chef and we share much of the same vision in the idea of the perfect restaurant," Allred said. For him, the ultimate goal is to have every guest feel appreciated by creating an engaging and approachable team atmosphere.
PS 7's Restaurant is located adjacent to the Verizon Center at 777 I (Eye) Street, N.W. in Washington, DC. Owned by Chef Peter Smith, the menu is a reflection of Chef Smith's playful nature and fascination with house-made ingredients. The restaurant features a stunning design, intriguing menu and a vibrant cocktail lounge. During the warmer months, diners can take in the sights of the Penn Quarter on the expansive outdoor patio.
