Qdoba Mexican Grill Development Agreement Brings Qdoba To Iowa

Qdoba Mexican Grill finalized a development agreement for Dubuque, Des Moines and other areas across Iowa, announced President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Beisler.

This is the second development agreement for Qdoba franchisees Lee Maloof and M. Michael Charnas who currently own and operate Qdoba restaurants throughout Illinois. The group recently opened its first Iowa location at 3022 E. 53rd Street in Davenport with a second location set to open in Springfield, Illinois in the fall.

"Our Illinois area restaurants have been extremely successful, so of course we were excited about bringing Qdoba to Iowa," said Maloof. "Qdoba provides excellent development opportunities, and as we expected we have been well received in the Iowa market."

The group currently owns and operates Qdoba restaurants in Bloomington, DeKalb, Champaign and Machesney Park, Ill. Maloof has over 24 years of restaurant experience, including owning 15 Papa John's Pizza locations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
