Qdoba Mexican Grill To Expand In Southern California

Qdoba Mexican Grill has signed two franchise agreements to expand in the Southern California area, announced Qdoba President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Beisler.

Franchisee John Lin of Q Central Development, LLC signed an agreement recently to open Qdoba restaurants, with the first expected to debut early in 2006. Mr. Lin's agreement covers Coastal Southern California including Irvine, Newport Beach and Long Beach.

Lin, a Jack in the Box franchisee since 1986, owns two Jack in the Box restaurants. With more than 30 years of experience with Jack in the Box restaurants, Lin worked his way up through the company, from hamburger maker to a variety of positions with corporate headquarters before becoming a franchisee.

Franchisee Terry Jones president of O.C. Q Restaurants, Inc., along with director of operations, Jose Rodriguez has also signed an agreement to open Qdoba restaurants. The first is expected to open in Lake Forest, Calif., early next year. The agreement spans throughout Orange County, including 26 cities.

Jones has been a Jack in the Box franchisee for 19 years and owns seven restaurants in Southern California. Mr. Jones is the seventh Jack in the Box franchisee who has signed a franchise agreement with Qdoba, as the fast-casual concept continues its steady growth nationwide.
