Qdoba Mexican Grill Raises Over $2,000 For The Lowry Foundation
Qdoba Mexican Grill recently hosted a fund-raiser in Denver for the Lowry Foundation and raised $2,028 for the organization's Community Grant Program. Including this year's totals, Qdoba has donated over $10,000 to the Denver-based organization the past four years.
More than 400 guests attended the charity event June 24 at the Lowery Center. For a $5 donation, attendees received an entree, drink and opportunity to view the movie "E.T. the Extra Terrestrial." Qdoba donated 100% of the proceeds to the Lowry Foundation, which agreed to match Qdoba's donation.
The non-profit Lowry Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of life and public areas within the Lowry community. The foundation annually hosts two fund-raising events to raise money for community projects and programs. In 2003 and 2004, over $14,000 in grants were awarded. "Qdoba has been an amazing community partner," says Julie Church-Thomas, executive director of the Lowry Foundation. "Every year they support our organization with this huge party, everyone who comes has a great time and funds are raised to give back to the community schools, organizations and neighborhoods. Qdoba also supports us with food donations for committee meetings and special events. Lowry is very fortunate to have Qdoba in our community."
Since 2002, Qdoba Mexican Grill has worked with the Lowry Community Grant Program to support organizations such as Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Lowry Elementary School, Montclair Academy and Lowry Little League. To date, Qdoba has raised $10,837.
