Arlington, VA (October 7, 2008) - Restaurant 3 is passing the plate and cooking their way to a cure for breast cancer. In support of the Cook for the Cure program that raises funds for breast cancer research, the Clarendon neighborhood restaurant is offering a special four-course dinner for $60, available Monday, October 27, 2008.

Customers who order the prix-fixe menu will receive a KitchenAid Cook for the Cure plate. Once guests register the plate online, KitchenAid donates $5 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Diners are urged to pass the plate to friends or family who should then re-register the plate. Every time a plate is passed and registered KitchenAid will make a $5 donation. Restaurant 3 is offering up to 75 plates and will donate $25 for every guest who orders the four-course dinner.

Executive Chef Brian Robinson has created a special pink menu for the occasion, featuring housemade tomato soup with grilled cheese, followed by a garden greens salad and later a choice of Hawaiian pink snapper, NY strip with a pink peppercorn crust or Cornish game hen. The meal is rounded off with strawberry ice cream, chocolate dipped strawberries and a shortbread cookie. To complement the pink menu, Mixologist Alexandria Freydberg has created two special pink cocktails, 'Boozin' for Boobies' featuring Absolut Citron, lavender simple syrup and fresh grapefruit, and the 'Strawberry Sparkler' with strawberry lemongrass puree and sparkling wine.

Restaurant 3 serves classic American cuisine with innovative regional accents and is located at 2950 Clarendon Blvd. in Arlington, VA, across the street from the Clarendon Metro Station.
