Restaurant Workshop, Inc. Encourages Commitment To Food Safety

RESTAURANT WORKSHOP, INC. ENCOURAGES FOODSERVICE PROFESSIONALS TO SHOW COMMITMENT TO FOOD SAFETY BY PARTICIPATING IN NATIONAL FOOD SAFETY EDUCATION MONTH SM 2004

"Be aware when you prepare"

(Ann Arbor, MI) - Restaurant Workshop, Inc. announced today it will partner with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and participate in the 2004 National Food Safety Education Month SM, this September, to showcase its commitment to food safety education and training. This year's theme, "Be aware when you prepare," focuses on the procedures necessary for preparing food safely.

Created by the NRAEF's International Food Safety Council, this annual food safety campaign strives to: build awareness of the restaurant and foodservice industry's commitment to serving safe food, heighten awareness about the importance of food safety education, and encourage additional food safety training for all industry employees.

RWI's goal is to assist foodservice establishments to heighten awareness of food safety and the value of training all staff members. RWI offers foodservice professionals a cost effective solution to meet these goals and is offering free food safety training materials on its web site www.restaurantworkshop.com during the month of September. Visitors may also email RWI's staff with any questions concerning food safety and can expect a quick response to their inquiries.

"We're thrilled that Restaurant Workshop, Inc. is taking part in National Food Safety Education Month," said John Farquharson FMP, president of the NRAEF's International Food Safety Council. "It is important for suppliers to reinforce food safety education and training techniques to sales staff and other employees, who will in return pass this information along to their customers. This campaign is a great way for the industry to keep food safety top-of-mind as a collective whole."

"We are excited about participating in this month-long campaign," said Jeff Crawford and Kip Jaros, Directors of Restaurant Workshop, Inc. "Americans are aware of food safety now more than ever before and, through National Food Safety Education Month, we have the opportunity to highlight what we are doing in the restaurant and foodservice industry to educate our employees on proper food safety procedures."
