Roberto Gerbino Is Leaving His Role As Chef Of Tre Porcellini Italian Restaurant In Hillcrest To Go Back To Il Fornaio Del Mar.

Roberto Gerbino is leaving his role as chef of Tre Porcellini Italian Restaurant in Hillcrest. Roberto founded Tre Porcellini with his business partners Laura Bottoglia and Caterina D'Agata, and in less than a year the restaurant has grown to become an Italian favorite for many San Diegans. Roberto feels that his mission is accomplished and is passing the torch to the co-founders. "I have always wanted to open a restaurant from scratch and single-handedly create its menu. My dream has come true. At this point the management strategy I had in mind for the place differs from that of my partners. That is why I decided to make this move".

Roberto feels that he is making this bitter-sweet decision with clean consciousness. "I feel like I am parting with my baby. But now when it's born and stands firmly on its feet I feel confident I am leaving my former partners with a great business and wish them all the best in running it".
Roberto will resume his position at Il Fornaio Del Mar where he had worked for three years before opening Tre Porcellini.
