Run Your Own Restaurant For Free - New Website Launched

In December 2010 RunYourOwnRestaurant.com was launched by two UK residents. The site invites 20,000 people to collaborate in the establishment and running of a new restaurant in each US state.

The restaurant will be funded by the one-off $29.99 registration fees paid by each participant (currently free for the first 1,000 to register), who then gains the right to partake in a weekly vote on restaurant decisions. The investors will thereby democratically resolve issues including the location of the restaurant, the choice of food on the menu, and which chef is to be hired.

As an incentive to vote wisely, 50% of the restaurant profits will be divided between the participants after year one, while the remaining 50% will be invested back into the restaurant. 100% of the restaurant profits will be paid out at the conclusion of year two.

Additionally, anyone who has contributed will receive certain perks once the restaurant is up and running. These will include preferential seating and a complimentary round of drinks whenever the investor dines at their restaurant.

Currently, RunYourOwnRestaurant.com is inviting people to register their email addresses if they are potentially interested in the project. When 20,000 people have shown interest, they will then be given the opportunity to become investors and decision-makers in the restaurant.

The project was conceived by Paul Brook and Daniel Moran. Paul is an Astrophysics post-graduate student and Daniel is Dealer Principal of a prestige car dealership. Both Paul and Daniel were born and reside in West Yorkshire, England.
