Boston's original cupcake vixen Sara Ross of the award-winning Kickass Cupcakes is pleased to announce the opening of a new limited-edition shop located at 180 Linden Street in Wellesley. Kickass Cupcakes, Wellesley will open early March.

"Somerville is our home, but we thought it would be adventurous to expand our bakery and check out a new neighborhood," says Ross. "The new limited-edition shop will feature everything you have come to love about Kickass Cupcakes in Somerville, just conveniently located to serve metro west sweet-toothed addicts."

ABOUT SARA ROSS
After moving to the Boston area two years ago from Santa Monica, California, Sara wanted to find a new outlet to visually express her individual, artistic style. Her passion for baking, perfected by her sweet-tooth, led her to open the Kickass Cupcake bakery in the Fall of 2007.

Sara states, "I love food and I love to cook. Cooking allows me to visually express myself and share my passion with others. When I travel, the spots I visit first are always food related - restaurants, gourmet stores, bakeries - and I thought Boston was in need of some cupcake love." After all, cupcakes were the word on everyone's lips in both California and New York, and Sara felt Boston's unique Somerville neighborhood would be the perfect fit for her unique and edgy creations.

So what makes Sara's cupcakes Kickass? Kickass Cupcakes do not look or taste like the traditional cupcakes you find at the local bakery or grocery store. In true artisanal fashion, all cupcakes are baked daily, in-house from scratch, in small batches and hand decorated. In addition to the time and care spent on each individual cupcake, the bakery uses only the best all-natural, local ingredients and lots of Plugra butter (insuring a richer taste and smoother texture). There are no hydrogenated oils, trans-fats, artificial flavors, dyes or preservatives to guarantee the utmost flavor for your enjoyment!

Throughout the year Kickass Cupcakes' menu features different flavors that always leave you craving more. Somerville: Located two and a half blocks south of Davis Square at 378 Highland Ave, Kickass Cupcakes is open Monday - Wednesday 11:00 am -7:00 pm, Thursday 11:00 am -8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 11:00 am-10:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm -6:00 pm.

Wellesley: Located within the Gelato Caf� at 180 Linden Street. The Wellesley location is open 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday and Saturday.
