Savor: Notable New York Chefs At Fundraiser March 8 For Gay Men's Health Crisis
On Monday, March 8, 2010, GMHC will host Savor the organization's highly anticipated, annual, gastronomic fundraiser. The evening will include cocktails, a decadent four-course dinner, and Passing the Whisk: the ultimate culinary relay featuring the judges from the Food Network's Chopped.
Participating chefs include: Scott Conant of Scarpetta and Faustina at The Cooper Square Hotel, Amanda Freitag of The Harrison, Alex Guarnaschelli of Butter, Marc Murphy of Landmarc, Aaron Sanchez of Paladar, Chris Santos of Stanton Social and Geoffrey Zakarian of The Lambs Club.
Hosted and chaired by celebrity-chef Ted Allen of The Food Network's Chopped, over 400 guests are expected to attend this high-profile event in honor of GMHC supporters Yvette Burton and Ted Snowdon for their ongoing commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
All proceeds from the evening will benefit GMHC, a volunteer-supported, community-based, nonprofit organization committed to national leadership in the fight against AIDS. GMHC provides HIV prevention and care services to more than 15,000 men, women, and families in New York City that are living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
