Vintner Guido Andretta Joins The Umstead Hotel and Spa for a Five-Course Wine-Focused Feast



CARY, N.C. - April 9, 2013 - Herons, the signature Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond restaurant at The Umstead Hotel and Spa, will host Tuscany's famed winegrower, Guido Andretta, for a special dinner engagement on April 25. Owner of the acclaimed Tenuta Vitanza winery in Torrenieri, Italy and president of VEDI, a co-op of Italian winemakers and growers, Andretta and Executive Chef Scott Crawford have designed a five-course menu to highlight some of Italy's top wines, including the stunning Brunello di Montalcino.

The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m.; followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Seats are $125 per person, not including tax or gratuity. Advance reservations are required and can be secured by calling 919.447.4000. There is a strict 72-hour cancellation policy and a $25 no-show fee.
