Shake Shack Reopens April 4

SHAKE SHACK IN MADISON SQUARE PARK TO REOPEN ON APRIL 4

March, 2005, New York - It's back! After a long, cold, five-month hibernation, Shake Shack, Union Square Hospitality Group's fun and fabulous burger, hot dog, and frozen custard kiosk in Madison Square Park, will reopen on April 4. Get ready for the return of all-American favorites such as Shack Burgers, Chicago dogs and cheese fries - and of course, delicious, creamy frozen custard to help beat the city heat with concretes, shakes, floats, and homemade toppings galore. To top it off, Shake Shack's wine and beer selection will be available to enjoy in our outdoor seating area. Even better, a portion of all sales benefits the Madison Square Park Conservancy, which develops the park's programming, maintenance, security, and horticulture.

The hours of operation for April are 11am-4pm, seven days a week. Summer hours will begin May 1.

Inspired by classic roadside food stands, Shake Shack debuted in the summer of 2004 and quickly became a favorite of New Yorkers and tourists alike. The media took note too: Shake Shack's burger was named Best Burger by New York Magazine and NYC's Top 100 Burgers in Time Out New York. What better way to enjoy award-winning food and refreshing beverages than alfresco in one of the most beautiful parks in Manhattan overlooking the Flatiron Building?

This year, Shake Shack welcomes a new General Manager to the family, Carla Lalli Music. Carla most recently worked as Director of Operations of Spirit Media, and also held both culinary and managerial positions at Tuscan, Union Pacific and Montrachet. Carla will head up an enthusiastic Shake Shack team, maintaining the high level of quality and service that guests have come to count on at all Union Square Hospitality Group restaurants.

With its delicious food, environmentally friendly architecture, and natural setting, Shake Shack is a New York dining destination not to be missed. Whether you're craving a burger or a dog, a scoop or a shake, a Grape Crush or a glass of wine, Shake Shack is sure to hit the spot for summer dining this season.
