THE SICILIAN REGIONAL DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE ANNOUNCES THE FORMATION OF
THE SICILIAN REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF OLIVES AND OIL
The Regional Secretary of Agriculture Professor Giovanni La Via and Dr. Fausto Luchetti will announce the formation of the Sicilian Regional Institute of Olives and Oil at the upcoming Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.
The newly formed Sicilian Regional Institute of Olives and Oil will present the Institute's mission and outline plans for future promotional activities in the US to promote Sicily's native olive oil varieties. A tasting of Sicilian olive oils will immediately follow the presentation.

The primary objective of the Institute is to promote the health and nutritional values of Sicily's key olive varities - Colli Nisseni, Colline Ennesi, Val di Marza, Valdemone, Valle del Belice, Monte Etna and Monte Iblei.
Some future promotional activities will include on & off premise promotions, Sicilian Regional Institute of Olives and Oil branded olive oils, partnerships with key health conscious organizations like Oldways and informative tastings across the US.
