Soltoro Tequila Grill, A Michael Jordan Restaurant, Teams Up With El Charro Tequila To Find The Perfect Margarita For The Second Year In A Row

It's Back! SolToro Tequila Grill, A Michael Jordan Restaurant, located at Mohegan Sun, has partnered with El Charro Tequila once again to present The Perfect Margarita Contest for the second year in a row. Beginning TODAY, February 7, margarita lovers of all kinds, from mixologists to connoisseurs and everyone in between, can enter their recipes for a chance to win fabulous prizes, major bragging rights and his or her winning recipe listed on SolToro's cocktail menu for one year.

How does it work? Get shakin'! Beginning TODAY, contestants can visit www.soltorotequilagrill.com to find out how to submit their recipes. SolToro and El Charro representatives will invite their favorites to SolToro to compete in monthly semi-final competitions. Hosted by radio personalities from WBMW - Soft Rock 106.5 and WWRX - Jammin' 107.7, the semi-final competitions will be held at 8 p.m. on the last Friday of each month: February 24, March 30 and April 27. The winners of each semi-final competition, as determined by a panel of judges - including representatives from SolToro and El Charro - will be invited back to SolToro on Cinco de Mayo to compete against Jason Scalise, our Perfect Margarita winner from last year. Jason Scalise of Colchester won with his refreshing berry-flavored take on the 'rita. Rico Rita, currently on our cocktail menu, balanced the tartness of lime nicely with the sweetness of his berry flavoring. Will Jason be able to defend his title?

What can I win? What can I win?! The Grand Prize winner will receive a 2 night stay for two at W Hoboken (valued at $600), dinner (up to $150) and breakfast (up to $40) at ZYLO, a Bliss rapid rub spa package for two (valued at $80), and his or her winning recipe will be listed on SolToro's cocktail menu for one year. The 2nd place winner, during the final competition, will receive a Chef for Hire Package, that will entail Margarita Shak'n and Guacamole making along with a customized menu that can be prepared for up to 8 guests at your home or at SolToro Tequila Grill (valued at $600). Note: Winner to be within a 30 mile radius if at residence. The first place winners of the three monthly semi-final competitions will each receive a $200 gift certificate redeemable at any one of the three Michael Jordan's Restaurants located at Mohegan Sun: SolToro Tequila Grill, Michael Jordan's Steak House and Michael Jordan's 23.sportcafe. Monthly 2nd place winners will receive a $150 gift certificate and monthly 3rd place winners will receive a $100 gift certificate, redeemable at any of the three Michael Jordan Restaurants at Mohegan Sun.

What's the catch? Contestants must be 21 or older at the time of entry, and, if chosen, they must be available to attend semi-final and Grand Prize competitions at SolToro.
