Southern Oregon Winery Flyhigh & Longsword Vineyard Launch New Website
Applegate Valley winery-Fly High & Longsword Vineyard creates new website and adds blog, social media sharing and increased security for users.
Fly High & LongSword Vineyard - a premier maker of high-quality wine including varietal reds, luscious Chardonnays and a variety of specialty whites - today launched a redesigned and more robust website (www.fhlv.net) featuring a "winemaker's" blog; "members club," and, Facebook, Twitter, and Yelp connectivity.
"A more robust and comprehensive web presence will better serve our users and thus support the growth and prosperity of our vineyards," said Sandra King, co-founder and spokesperson for the partnership. "Giving our winemaker, a trained botanist and biochemist, a platform to reach-out, educate and communicate regularly with our customers drove the decision to include a blog. Adding social network connectivity just made sense to us at this point as we're spending more-and-more time developing community and conversations on Facebook and Twitter," she said.
The new site, www.fhlv.net, enables users to join the FHLV "Wine Club" by creating a username and password. Members of the "free to join" club receive 20 percent discounts on all wine purchases; three new releases a year with guaranteed price limits; special shipping rates; and the opportunity to attend regular Wine Club events scheduled at the vineyard.
The new website features lush images of the vineyards, set in a popular grape growing, hang- and para-gliding region located in Southern Oregon's beautiful Applegate Valley. The site also features directions and maps to the winery and tasting room (open from noon to 5 p.m. daily, except in January when it is only open on the weekends), located a short drive off Interstate 5.
Additionally, site users who order directly from the vineyards will be pleased with new, more robust security measures and check-outs on the re-designed and re-engineered site. "Our customer's privacy and financial security is a core concern," said King.
