Specialty Food Companies Reach Out To Restaurants At Nra Show New Products On Tap From Members Of Specialty Food Association In Booth 8074

New York, N.Y. (May 16, 2013) - Pt from New Jersey, quinoa from Missouri and confections from California are among the dozens of specialty food products that will be on display from members of the Specialty Food Association at the NRA Show 2013 in Chicago.

Fourteen members of the Association, a not-for-profit trade association for food artisans, importers and entrepreneurs, are presenting new and innovative products from across the U.S. in Booth 8074 in the American Food Fair section at the show. The show runs May 18 - 21.

Specialty food sales in the U.S. jumped to a record $86 billion in 2012, with sales to foodservice representing a 20.4 percent share, or $17.5 billion, according to research from the Specialty Food Association.

"With unprecedented interest in specialty food from restaurant and foodservice buyers, our members are creating new products and sizes of their condiments, cooking sauces, desserts and more to meet strong demand, " says Specialty Food Association President Ann Daw. "The NRA Show provides an important showcase to make new connections for our members."
