Starchefs.com Launches Chefs To Know

StarChefs.com has published its first book: a guide to 500 notable chefs across the country that its editorial staff has tasted with and interviewed over the years. Chefs to Know: A Guide to Chefs for Chefs includes over 80 professional photos and recipes plus contact information and fun facts about every chef - from their favorite restaurants off the beaten path to their most indispensable kitchen tool. Chef Wylie Dufresne, of WD~50 in New York, says, "The Chefs to Know guide is an invaluable reference for chefs, anyone in the industry, and diners. The chef dining recommendations in 'Restaurants off the Beaten Path,' where chefs share their favorite dives and late-night spots, will provide any adventurous eater with dining destinations for at least a year."

What StarChefs has put together isn't just a guidebook but a valuable reference for industry professionals, culinary students, and curious diners who want to know about the people behind America's professional stoves. "StarChefs.com has always produced pioneering innovations that have helped the hospitality industry work more effectively and efficiently. This indispensable guide is just another opportunity to wonder, 'why didn't I think of that?!' I'm confident that a copy of Chefs to Know will end up on the desk of every culinary professional in America," says restaurateur Danny Meyer of Union Square Hospitality.

The book is the first edition of what will be an annual publication that puts its pulse on the culinary heartbeat of America. Chefs to Know is based on StarChefs' in-person tastings and interviews, and future issues will feature chef updates and new inclusions as the StarChefs editorial team travels and tastes around the country.
