Summer 2006's Sensationally Priced Three-course Dinner At 1789 Restaurant
Executive Chef Nathan Beauchamp of 1789 Restaurant is pleased to unveil his three-course summer special available July 1st through September 13th, 2006, for $35 per person (beverages, tax and gratuity not included). Guests of this landmark restaurant in historic Georgetown can choose from Beauchamp's seasonal favorites selecting an appetizer or salad, entrie and dessert. Chef Beauchamp's menu changes regularly according to the freshest ingredients available. Patrons can expect to find appetizers such as Champagne cured salmon with baby spring beets, fennel and black pepper crackers; suckling pig with pickled farm onions, arugula and house made mustard, as well as escargot tartlette with spring garlic, ramps, porcinis and parsley puree. Foie gras torchon with pistachio brittle, roasted pineapple and sauterne jam is yet another early standout on Beauchamp's new menu and can be enjoyed during this summer offer for an additional charge of $10.
For entree choices, Chef Beauchamp's summer menu presently includes Maine diver scallops with polenta, pickled rhubarb, baby leeks and abalone mushrooms, as well as Kirobuta pork chop with sour cherry, bacon 'clafoutis,' Swiss chard and bourbon. 1789 Restaurant's signature rack of Colorado lamb with Grafton cheddar galette, creamed spinach and natural jus and the grilled ribeye with aged balsamic 'sticky' onions, fondant potatoes and Swiss chard can also be enjoyed for a $10 additional charge.
Pastry Chef Zoe Trillium Behrens creates decadent dessert options to include vanilla and chocolate bread pudding on a toasted croissant with vanilla bittersweet chocolate custard; lemon ice cream sandwich with lemon ice cream, raspberry preserves, Meyer lemon sorbet and almond meringue as well as a macadamia carrot cake with citrus marmalade and pineapple semifreddo.
