Sushisamba Partners With Citta To Make A Difference Against Indifference

This June, All SUSHISAMBA Restaurants Show Their Support for an Important Cause

Building from their ongoing support of international community service efforts for the betterment of technology, health and education; SUSHISAMBA is pleased to announce a special partnership for the month of June with Citta charity organization.

Founded in 1996 by artist, Michael Daube and derived from the Sanskrit word for 'compassionate mind,' Citta is dedicated to offering medical, childcare and education assistance to people in the poorest areas of the world - and spreading awareness of the idea that "people of different paths share the same world." Citta operates the Juanga Hospital, Orissa Women's Center and Juanga School in India as well as the Humla Hospital, Gaikhur Clinic, Gaikhur Orphanage, and Women's Center in Nepal. Since its inception, Citta has garnered the support from individuals worldwide as well as Hollywood celebrities including Anthony Edwards and John Cameron Mitchell.

For the month of June, SUSHISAMBA is gladly accepting donations on behalf of Citta. A $1 donation provides lifesaving medical assistance to populations of approximately 200,000 people, education and opportunities for 450 students, and training for women rescued from slave/sex trades. A better understanding of how donations are broken down is $100 pays the monthly salary of a nurse, $200 pays the monthly salary of a doctor, and $2500 covers the monthly payroll of an entire Citta hospital.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Citta for such a worthwhile cause," says SUSHISAMBA Concept Developer, Shimon Bokovza. "Through our efforts we believe a tremendous difference can be made in the month of June alone and look forward to helping Citta achieve their world of beauty and possiblity."

At the end of June, SUSHISAMBA 7 will host an exclusive rooftop reception for Citta board members and top supports to present the total donation on behalf of all of SUSHISAMBA. For more information, please visit www.citta.org.

Citta is a registered charity dedicated to providing assistance to marginalized or indigenous communities and assisting those in extreme economic, environmental, or political distress. By helping these communities, Citta seeks to build and sustain institutions essential for their survival. Citta's goal is to help create infrastructures that will be maintained by the communities themselves, and to help create a more fully realized global unity in which everyone has a chance to participate, while preserving ways of life for the future.

SUSHISAMBA offers inventive fare that unites bold Brazilian flavors, precise Japanese technique and Peruvian culinary traditions on one plate. The growing restaurant group opened their newest outpost in Las Vegas at The Palazzo Hotel and Casino Resort late last year.
