Suzanne Tracht And Jar Present Valentine's Day Dinner In Grand Hollywood Style

Los Angeles, CA, January 17, 2013 - Jar, the highly acclaimed restaurant by Chef Suzanne Tracht, presents a special Valentine's Day Dinner on Thursday, February 14, 2013. The dinner features a tasting menu selected from this popular chop house's signature dishes as well as Tracht's new seasonal creations for America's favorite romantic holiday.
The Valentine's Day Dinner begins with a choice of starters, including Nantucket Bay Scallop with Uni, Shanghai Noodles, Shiso; Lobster Dumpling with Lemongrass Broth; Butter Lettuce Salad with Breakfast Radishes, Parmesan, Lemon Garlic Vinaigrette; or Roasted Beets with Goat Blue Cheese and Baby Arugula.
Entree selections include Roasted Tenderloin Tail with Garlic Black Bean Butter, Pee Wee Potato, Baby Bok Choy; Sauteed Atlantic Fluke with Whole Grain Miso, Snake Bean, Thai Black Rice; Jar's Signature Pot Roast with Carrots, Caramelized Onions, Mashed Potatoes; Roasted Lamb Loin with English Pea Puree, Radish Salad; or Maine Scallops with Dried Shrimp Broth, Crisp Char Siu Pork Belly, Spring Onion.
As an optional aphrodisiac to the meal, Jar will add a platter of a half dozen fresh oysters on the half shell with accompaniments for an $18 supplement.

dinner - Chocolate Cake with Cappuccino Crunch Ice Cream; Meyer Lemon Tart with Toasted Blue Meringue and Pine Nut Crust or Jar's famous Butterscotch Pudding with Salted Caramel and Whipped Cream.
The Valentine's Day Dinner is priced at $85 per guest and is served continuously from 5:30 p.m. Pricing is exclusive of beverages, taxes and gratuity.
Jar's interior space, decorated in warm and rich shades of brown and soft textures and surfaces, provides an intimate setting reminiscent of supper clubs from the Golden Days of Hollywood.
Tracht and her long-standing Chef de Cuisine Preech Narkthong have cultivated a devoted following among critics and the public since opening in 2001. Tracht was the recipient of Food and Wine magazine's America's Best New Chefs 2002; Jar was named as one of Los Angeles' top 25 restaurants by restaurant critic Patric Kuh in Los Angeles magazine's January 2005 issue. She was inducted into the Fine Dining Hall of Fame by Nation's Restaurant News in May 2007. In 2009, Suzanne was honored by the James Beard Foundation at the Women in Food Award and named 2009 Chef of the Year by Angeleno. The Los Angeles Times magazine named Jar among the top restaurants that forged Southern California's global reputation in August 2011. In 2012 the LA Weekly named Jar Best Steakhouse in LA and Suzanne's Duck Fried Rice as one of the city's top 100 dishes; the restaurant was awarded among the Top Five Best Brunches in the city by Haute Living magazine
Tracht's recent achievements include her appearances as contestant and early challenge winner on Top Chef Masters 2009 featured Chef in Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution 2011, and Celebrity Chef Judge for Hell's Kitchen, 2011.
