Chef Luca Crestanelli’s Seasonal Menu and Elegant Holiday Specials are Ideal

WHAT:
S.Y. Kitchen presents Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve Celebrations for the Santa Ynez Valley on Wednesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 31, 2014. In addition to the restaurants à la carte lunch and dinner menus of seasonal offerings and signature dishes, Chef Luca and his brother and Sous Chef Francesco will present an array of stunning and elegant specials to help celebrate the Christmas season and the beginning of 2015.

On New Year’s Eve, additions to the menu will include Fresh Local Brown Crab Crostini; Maine Lobster Salad with Baby Artichokes, Apples, Frisée and Pomegranate; Homemade Duck Confit Ravioli with Butter and Black Truffle; Ossobuco with Saffron Risotto and Gremolata; Salt Crusted Wild Caught Branzino; and Tagliolini with White Truffles. Along with S.Y. Kitchen’s house-made desserts, Chef Francesco will prepare a Mont Blanc for a spectacular ending.

Sommelier Emily Johnston has prepared a list of inspired companion wines to accompany each of the New Year’s Eve dinner specials that will include Billecart Salmon Brut Champagne; Liquid Farm Rose of Mourvedre 2013; Luminesce Pinot Noir 'Luceant' 2012; Damilano Barolo 'Lecinquevigne' 2010; Lupi Vermentino di Liguria 2011; GD Vajra Barolo Bricco delle Viole; and to enjoy with dessert, Braida Moscato D'Asti 'Vigna Senza Nome.' Depend on S.Y. Kitchen’s highly trained staff to offer other suggestions from their list of Santa Barbara County or imported wines.

S.Y. Kitchen will be closed on New Year’s Day and reopen on January 2, 2015.
