Tallula Showcases Exceptional Sparkling Wines At December Dinner
What: Tallula will host a special wine dinner in its intimate 15-seat wine room to showcase exceptional sparkling wines from around the world. Priced at $60 per person, not including tax and gratuity, the four-course dinner will pair the wines with dishes created especially for the occasion by Executive Chef Barry Koslow.
The dinner will begin with an assortment of amuses, paired with a wine from a select, small grower, NV Chartogne-Taillet Champagne. Other highlights will include a Domaine des Baumard from France's Loire Valley perfectly paired with an Asian-inspired Sablefish en Papillotte with Chinese broccoli, soy and sake butter, and a Majella Sparkling Shiraz from Coonawarra, Australia, paired with an Eco-Friendly Farm's Suckling Pig Porchetta with braised green cabbage and a sour cherry sauce.
All the featured wines will be available for purchase at the event. The complete dinner menu with wine pairings is listed below.
When: Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 7 pm.
Where: Tallula is located at 2761 Washington Boulevard in Arlington, VA.
Why: Juliana Santos, Neighborhood Restaurant Group (NRG) Wine Director, is committed to introducing guests to unique and exceptional wines. This dinner is the beginning of a series of special wine dinners planned by Chef Koslow and Santos to highlight Tallula's excellent wine program and share their favorite wine finds and food pairings with guests.
