Tampa Chef Fabrizio Schenardi Offers Tastes Of Torino To Honor Winter Olympics


PELAGIA Trattoria's Tastes of Torino
Features Italian Foods and Wines Feb. 9 - 28

Executive Chef Fabrizio Schenardi, Tampa's Torino connection, celebrates the 2006 Winter Olympics competition, and Italy's role as the host country, by featuring the foods, flavors and wines of his homeland. The native of Turin returns often to visit family and friends and imports locally grown and pressed olives and olive oil for use in his creations. The olives and olive oils are from a family-owned operation.

PELAGIA executive Chef Schenardi has already worked worldwide and earned high marks in his young career, including being named among the top five chefs in one international ranking and recognized by Bon Appetit Magazine for running the "Best Restaurant" while at Maui's Ferraro Restaurant at the Four Seasons.

The following menu items will be available nightly from Feb. 9 - 28 and offered in addition to the current seasonal menu. Suggested wine pairings are optional.

PELAGIA Trattoria is located at Tampa's International Plaza, near Neiman Marcus and the Renaissance Tampa Hotel. It is open for breakfast every day from 6:30 - 10:30 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily and dinner is from 5:30 - 10 p.m. nightly. All major credit cards are accepted and reservations are recommended.
