Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro Opens At Patriot Place
Foxboro residents and new restaurateurs Bill and Patti Martin have opened Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro located in the wildly popular Patriot Place. Executive Chef Richard Garcia offers a menu comprised of globally-inspired small-plate dishes that are complemented by the restaurant's extensive and thoughtful wine list compiled by General Manager and Sommelier David Cicciarella.

CHEF/MENU
Richard Garcia is known as one of the Northeast region's rising star chefs. In addition to an honorary invitation to cook at an upcoming James Beard Dinner (April 4, 2009) in New York City, Chef Garcia has traveled and cooked in such culinary bastions as Boston, Miami, St. Thomas, Guatemala and Spain. His cuisine reflects these various influences as well as his commitment to using the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
Chef Garcia has put together affordable and approachable brunch and dinner menus, ranging from Berkshire Pork Shank with house-cured pancetta, butter beans and orange gremolata; Sous Vide Beets & Greens salad with Vermont goat cheese feta, shaved fennel and grated horseradish; Winter Root Vegetable Hash with a poached cage free farm egg; Local Hook & Line Cod with garbanzo bean stew, whipped yogurt and dill oil; as well as American Kobe Beef in a Rioja wine reduction. The creative dishes are sized as hearty appetizers and are designed to facilitate sharing so you can try new food, drink and flavor combinations that will be sure to broaden your culinary horizons.
Maintaining his commitment to using the freshest ingredients whenever possible, Chef Garcia makes all desserts in-house. These freshly-made indulgences include a Warm Chocolate Ganache Cake with a liquid center, candied beets and beet chip; as well as a Rosemary Goat Cheese Cake made with cracked black pepper tuile and a blackberry reduction.
SOMMELIER/BEVERAGE PROGRAM
General Manager & Sommelier David Cicciarella has garnered his extensive knowledge of wine from years of studying with the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Society of Wine Educators. Cicciarella is committed to advancing as an expert sommelier and enjoys engaging patrons with the perfect pairing of wine to Chef Garcia's unique dishes.
Cicciarella has created a wine list that is carefully designed to complement the cuisine, enabling patrons to experience a variety of flavor combinations. With over 170 wines available by the bottle, an extensive 65+ wine-by-the-glass program and creative wine flights, Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro has options to suit any palate and price point.
In addition, the restaurant boasts a full bar offering creative cocktails all utilizing selections from the extensive wine list as well as fresh seasonal and local produce. Specialty cocktails include a Roasted Pear Martini with Montinore Pinot Gris, St. Germain Liqueur and muddled roasted pears; Blackberry Punch with Peter Lehman Shiraz, Stoli Razz and muddled blackberries; and the Impressionist with Louis Bouillot Cremant De Bourgogne, Van Gogh Acai Blueberry vodka and pomegranate juice. There is also an extensive selection of single malt scotches, premium bourbons and handcrafted micro-brews.
THE LOOK
The inviting d�cor is reminiscent of a cozy vineyard restaurant that you might see in Napa or Tuscany.
