Tbs Launches South African Wine Brand Juno Into Us Market :Crafted By Four Dynamic Female Winemakers, Juno Hits The Shelves This December

Total Beverage Solution (TBS), a beverage importer and supplier of fine wine, beer and premium spirits, announces that it has closed on an exclusive importation and distribution agreement with Juno, a South African wine brand that celebrates wine, women and the creative pursuits that both have inspired throughout history.

Four female winemakers came together to craft Juno, named after the mythical Roman goddess who was known as much for her virility, nurturing spirit and motherly virtues as she was for her fierce spirit and the control she held over men. She was the ancient protector of the female, a guardian, a provider of blessings and a symbol of the strength of the women of Rome. Juno's son, Mars, was both a god of war and a guardian of agriculture, sacred to grape farmers of the time. The exploits of Juno and her legend are laced with the wine culture that the Romans took to all corners of their empire, with tales of seduction, retribution and inevitably finding truth in the saying "In Vino Veritas."

The wines of Juno are as descriptive as the Roman goddess herself-passionate, beautiful, powerful and seductive. Each of the four winemakers brings her own personality and modern approach to the ancient art from the attention to the grapes, to winemaking and design. The Juno range is made up of the bold, crisp and citrus-flavored Sauvignon Blanc 2011, the vibrant, deep and spicy Shiraz 2010, and the velvety, smooth and bramble fruit-flavored Cabernet Sauvignon 2010. The grapes are carefully selected from several exceptional sites, which when blended together accounts for the wines' unique character and terroir. The macro-climate and composition of each site, which includes the decomposed granite soils of Paarl and Darling, the gravelly soil in Stellenbosch and the deep shale soil of Malmesburym, produce grapes with their own distinct taste and smell. Each blend has been specially crafted by the veteran winemakers to produce wine that is exciting and sensuous.
