SUZANNE TRACHT AND JAR MAKE THANKSGVING DINNER FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
A Bountiful Menu is Filled with Family Tradition
Los Angeles, CA, October 15, 2008 - Jar, the highly acclaimed restaurant by Chef Suzanne Tracht, plans a special Thanksgiving holiday dinner designed for families and friends to enjoy on Thursday, November 27, 2008.
Inspired by her family's tradition and American holiday favorites, Tracht is featuring a complete dinner that offers the many flavors of the Thanksgiving holiday. The evening begins with a choice of starters, including Chestnut Chickpea Soup, Fall Apple Celery Salad and Oyster Stew. The Roasted Turkey and six savory trimmings are served Family Style, so everyone can enjoy 'seconds' just like at home. Home-style desserts include Pumpkin Pie and Fall Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Reservations begin at 2 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. The dinner is reasonably priced at $85 per adult, $40 per child under 12, exclusive of beverages, taxes and gratuities. The restaurant will also arrange a salmon or vegetarian meal with advance request.
Jar's dining room provides a cozy setting for family dining with an interior space decorated in warm and rich shades of brown and soft textures and surfaces.
Tracht and her long-standing Chef de Cuisine Preech Narkthong have been prominently featured in Bon Appetit, Los Angeles, Angeleno, Los Angeles Times, the Wall St. Journal, New York Times, InStyle, Elle, and New York. Gayot.com named Jar among the top 10 Los Angeles Steakhouses and one of the best Los Angeles restaurants for Brunch in 2007; Tracht was also honored as one of Food and Wine magazine's America's Best New Chefs 2002; Jar restaurant was named as one of Los Angeles' top 75 restaurants in Los Angeles Magazine 2008 and one of 99 Essential Los Angeles Restaurants by Jonathan Gold in the LA Weekly 2007 and 2008. The restaurant and Tracht were inducted into the Fine Dining Hall of Fame by Nation's Restaurant News in May 2007.
