Three Times To Celebrate Christmas At Top Zagat-rated Polo Restaurant

Polo Restaurant at The Garden City Hotel (45 Seventh Street, Garden City, NY [516] 877-9352 or www.gardencityhotel.com) hosts three times to celebrate Christmas with all menus designed by Executive Chef Steven De Bruyn.

The #1 Zagat-rated Polo Brunch is available on Christmas Day with two seatings at noon and
3:00 p.m. Included are unlimited quantities of smorgasbord offerings and complimentary beverages such as champagne and Bloody Mary, at $69 per adult and $34.50 for children under 12-years-old plus tax and service charge.

Dinner will be served on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with seatings from 6 p.m. at $75 per adult and $37.50 for children under 12-years-old plus tax and service charge.


Under De Bruyn's direction, The Polo Restaurant has garnered a top rating as one of Long Island's leading restaurants in the 2006/7 Zagat Survey; and an "Excellent" rating by The New York Times' Joanne Starkey for exceptional cuisine, service and ambience. Polo, also described by Starkey as "the jewel in the crown of The Garden City Hotel," offers diners elegance, culinary excellence and top service for an extraordinary dining experience. De Bruyn, a native of Belgium, is a recipient of the International 5 Star 5 Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences and the Maison de Qualit� diploma from Le Club Gastronimique Prosper Montagn�, a society of French food professionals. In 2007, he was invited to cook dinner at The James Beard House and was inducted into the Belgian society of master chefs, Les Ma�tres-Cuisiniers de Belgique. A member of The Garden City Hotel's senior team since 1994, De Bruyn oversees all food preparation and wine choices for the luxury property's Polo Restaurant, Rein Bar & Bistro, banquets, conference services and in-room dining.
