The Chicago Food Film Festival returns for its 2nd consecutive year offering a unique series of events where food and film lovers return to taste what they see on the screen. Yes, the Chicago Food Film Festival is the only festival in the world that serves the food that is seen in the films. Produced in association with the James Beard Foundation and benefiting The Good Food Project, the 2011 Chicago Food Film Festival runs from November 18 through 20, 2011 at Kendall College and Intelligentsia Roasting Works.

Farm to Film to Table: Friday, November 18, 7 pm at Kendall College. Opening night of the 2011 Chicago Food Film Festival, featuring Chef Art Jackson of Pleasant House Bakery and Pleasant Farms. Plus, after the films, at 10pm, join us for the Opening Night After Party, "A Pig Pickin + Whiskey Bar", presented by Flight Chicago featuring sustainable whole hog by Chef Rob Levitt & The Butcher + Larder and Savory Sides by Chef Brian Jupiter + Frontier.

The 2011 Awards Ceremony Lunch: Sunday November 20, 12 noon at Kendall College. Join the filmmakers and judges for the Award Ceremony Lunch featuring screenings of the winning films plus the Chicago premiere of How to Make a Turtle Burger, and the Belgian hit In De Keuken.
The Chicago Food Film Festival was created by Travel Channel Host George Motz, the documentary filmmaker behind the award-winning Hamburger America film, book and mobile app and Chef Harry Hawk. Through documentaries and narrative films, the Festival presents the best, and the most memorable, of the world's favorite and most exotic foods on the big screen...and then serves them to the guests.
This year, the Festival will include an authentic Lowcountry Oyster Roast, a Farm to Table event, a brunch featuring the baked goods of the Doughnut Vault and more.
Films topics include the making of a Turtle Burger, Rob Levitt of The Butcher and Larder, a Texas family's Molasses making, doughnuts from The Doughnut Vault and much more. See below for the full list of Official Selections of the 2011 Festival.
Festival Director George Motz said, "There's something about seeing a food film that makes you really want to eat the food in the film. At the Food Film Festival, while you are watching a film about a Turtle Burger, you'll be eating one."
"It's been clinically proven that seeing beautiful images of food prior to consumption actually makes the food taste better," said Executive Producer Seth Unger, "one year it was so intense, we even had to provide wipes to manage all of the salivating."
The Chicago Food Film Festival is proud to announce its partnership with The Good Food Project, which will receive top tier integration throughout the Festival to remind guests of the importance of teaching school children about the great taste and health benefits of fresh produce. Additionally, a portion of Festival proceeds will be donated to the Project to assist in its important work.
