WHAT: Tolani Wine Restaurant, the Upper West Side gem that serves small to medium sized plates inspired by the very best flavors, techniques and ingredients from each wine region of the world, will host a four course traditional dinner paired with exceptional South African wines on January 10th. For one night only, Tolani will join together in true South African style with South African music artists Blondie Chaplin and Anton Fig. Tolani Wine Restaurant will be offering wine dinners monthly, each with a different theme.
WHO:Blondie Chaplin is from Durban and first became known to audiences as a singer and guitarist for the Beach Boys in the 70's. He is also a long term vocalist and acoustic rhythm guitarist for the Rolling Stones.
Anton Fig is from Cape Town and is best known as a member of the CBS Orchestra, where he appears nightly with David Letterman. As a freelance drummer, Fig has also played live with Paul Simon, Booker T and the MG's, The Thompson Twins at Live Aid, and played alongside Jim Keltner for Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversary concert celebration.
