A FARM-FRESH FUNKY FEEDING FRENZY

Cambridge, MA....On August 21, 2007 Craigie Street Bistrot will hold its first annual Farm-Fresh Funky Feeding Frenzy: a five course dinner with wine pairings. As we speak, Chef/owner Tony Maws is busily badgering local farmers and fishermen, exhorting them to ever higher levels of perfection for the produce that will amaze and delight on the evening of August 21.
Obviously everything will be locally grown, farm-fresh, and organic, but standing firmly behind our Craigie Street mission, Tony is making a couple extra commitments.
a. When we say 'locally grown' we mean 'locally grown.' Every single offering on the menu will have been grown or caught within a 75 mile radius of Craigie Street. We are aiming for a nearly non-existent carbon footprint.
b. And when we say 'fresh' we mean 'fresh.' Every herb and vegetable will have been picked within 24 hours.
c. When we say 'funky' we mean that too. Maws is known for his special blend of elegance and funkiness. Guests will experience dishes and flavors they may never have heard of or tried before, but we think this dinner will become part of your favorite food experiences.
*Okay, so here is the fine print. Tony personally selects the biodynamic and organic wines lists from France, and our domestic bottled water is from Saratoga Springs.
The five course menu will be $75 and is also available in a vegetarian version. The wine pairing will be $50 or guests may select wines from the Craigie Street wine list. At Craigie Street Bistrot there is no need to choose between eating right and feeling right. At the FARM-FRESH FUNKY FEEDING FRENZY guests will experience both.
