A Day of Educational Tastings and Business Seminars for Press and Trade
Washington DC, October 17, 2011 - 'Vinitaly In The World' began its 2011 United States tour today with wine tastings and industry seminars at the Italian Embassy in Washington, DC. Members of the US wine trade and press attended various events, including an expert industry panel discussion of the success of Italian wine sales in the United States, a tasting seminar of the wines of the Soave region, a wine and food pairing seminar hosted by the Unione Italiana Vini and a grand tasting of wines from throughout the Italian peninsula.
The Vinitaly in the World tour will travel next to New York City on Wednesday, October 19, where events will take place at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Registration for the New York events is available for wine press and trade at http://vinitalyustour.eventbrite.com
Vinitaly in the World is dedicated to opening up the exciting world of Italian wine to the US wine press and trade including importers, distributors, retailers, restaurateurs and sommeliers, and conversely to educating Italian wine producers about the US market. This is the 14th international tour of Vinitaly. The tour also travels to Russia, China and Korea with representatives making a stop in Japan, as well.
