Where There's Booty There's Bounty! The Belltown Pub Hosts Fundraiser For Seattle's Seafair Pirates

Shiver me timbers! Mateys Erwin Areceo, Dave Tolan and Zac Nethercutt of The Belltown Pub will be hosting a fundraiser for the SEAFAIR Pirates on Friday, July 24th starting at 7:00 p.m. The Pub will be bursting with buccaneers during an evening of fun, food and frolic in an effort to raise donated doubloons for the Seattle swashbucklers. The "Pirate Kings" of the Northwest since 1949, they serve the community by making dozens of Ports 'O Call appearances annually at hospitals and nursing homes as well as at several events and parades during the city's SEAFAIR celebration. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with the" old salts". The evenings featured drink will be the seadog's favorite - Mai Tai.

"The Pirates are a remarkable group that both entertain and reach out to our community," says Erwin. "Many people don't realize how carefully the Pirate members are screened for their ability to mix well with the public and for their unique theatrical talents before they are inducted into the troupe. We feel honored that they have chosen The Belltown Pub as an unofficial pirate hangout and look forward to refilling their treasure chests so they can continue their good work."

Donations to the SEAFAIR Pirates are not tax deductible. They do support efforts in reaching those in the community and for the organization's day to day operations. Donations to the Pirates Charitable Foundation, which is a 501C3charity, are deductible and contributions may be earmarked that way if desired.
