Willy's Mexicana Grill Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Burrito Benefit

Willy's Mexicana Grill, Atlanta's original California-style burrito restaurant, will mark its 10th anniversary with a special burrito "benefit". On July 13, all 17 Willy's locations will offer $2.00 burritos from 4:00 p.m. until closing with proceeds going to Georgia's Camp Twin Lakes. Camp Twin Lakes is the state's only non-profit organization with a camping facility designed for children with serious illnesses and special needs. In addition to this special benefit, Willy's announces a new location slated to open early Fall in the Edgewood Retail District near Little Five Points and Inman Park.

Willy's has had a long-standing relationship with Camp Twin Lakes and will donate up to $10,000 in burrito sales from the fundraising effort. "When I opened the first Willy's 10 years ago I didn't anticipate the tremendous growth that would follow," said Willy Bitter, President, Willy's Mexicana Grill. "We owe much of our success to our Atlanta customers and this benefit is our way of saying thank you while also giving back to the community."

Since 1995, Willy's estimates the chain has served millions of handcrafted California style burritos to Atlanta consumers. Willy's burritos and other menu items are made from scratch using top-quality meats and produce (guacamole and tomatillo sauce is made twice a day and produce is delivered six days a week) and is custom made to meet individual orders. An assortment of vegetarian menu items such as marinated tofu and veggie burritos, tacos and quesadillas are always available. The chain's newest restaurant located on Howell Mill Road distinguishes itself from other Willy's establishments with such special features as a tequila bar and extended hours. Willy's also recently opened a location in Turner Field and is the first "branded" restaurant to open in the park.
